She started with long hair, then moved to a more image “grunge”, with short hair, but even if she is often “transformed” (black onyx, strawberry blonde, red, eyebrows shaved, or thin), she has always retained her charisma.

Among her most famous campaign for Versace Atelier, along with Nadja Auermann photographed by the great Richard Avedon in 1994; an editorial in which a creative and visionary Tim Walker transforms into a mermaid; many services at the hands of talented and investigator Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue, where from time to time makes a lady nineteenth century, an American high society, a romantic girl for Haute Couture, a lady of gothic rock dream.

The McManamy has also starred in a memorable Pirelli calendar signed by Peter Lindbergh, 1996. Made in California, specifically in El Mirage, the bed of a salty lake , where Lindbergh, probably the first to break with the past and make calendar really contemporary, photographed women “special and personal,” as opposed to what was the trend of the time, models stars and perfect (they were called Linda, Cindy, Claudia, Christy, etc.).
