It seems that the sweatshirt has become a sort of uniform, a garment that lost its original connotation (easy \/ comfort) and use (sports, English sweatshirt or “jersey sweat”), became for several seasons in one favorite fashion items for fashionistas, bloggers, models, and why not, Mrs. \u00e2g\u00e9e, for example in the casual Friday.<\/p>\n

The sweatshirt, usually made of a thick cotton jersey, can be smooth or hairy at its interior, this latest version is obtained through the raising, a mechanical process that, through the teeth, it raises the fibers in their area. It was originally made almost always in cotton, because of its hydrophilic material characteristics, enabling it to retain moisture, and then to cause a lowering of body temperature.<\/p>\n

Along with t-shirts, sweatshirts were the first garments to be customized, especially by young people, with prints, inscriptions, symbols of American universities (the famous bomber fleece with contrasting sleeves, also known baseball jacket) or teams sports.<\/p>\n

Not to mention the hooded sweatshirts (Jean Baudrillard described them as “a form of decapitation!”). Created to protect athletes from the cold and rain, they have had, some years ago, a time of great unpopularity. In fact used by youth gangs, thieves or drug dealers for their ability to conceal the face, avoiding the vidio surveillance cameras.<\/p>\n

But the big difference is that in recent years the sweatshirts (along with t-shirts), no longer fulfill the role of “voice”, “message”, belonging to a social class (or current) that through the shape of a dress stood out (and often protested) by other; No sweatshirts we see in recent seasons are exactly the opposite. Now are valuable, entrusted to the hands of designers or artists, so very expensive, used in very eccentric style games. I have drawn lots during my career (just think of the more than 13 years at Puma), because it is versatile and represents a kind of a creative palette where smear anything. I have also seen how this garment has been completely transformed. From the playground or gym, to the international runways around the world. From the department stores, to the most glamorous boutiques.<\/p>\n

Able to bring together a very fashion tribes, loyal and constant, especially through social, where they “meets” and recognized.<\/p>\n
