The members of the group define themselves as &#8220;formalists and Marxists&#8221;, as opposed to the realist part of the New Front of the Arts, led by Renato Guttuso.<\/p>\n<p>In 1948 she took part in the XXIV Venice Biennale, and in the following years there were her first personal exhibitions in Italy. In 1953 her painting undergoes an evolution, a change towards the poetics of the sign, in 1954 an important meeting, the one with the French critic Michel Tapi\u00e9, will consecrate her, making her exhibit outside the Italian borders, in Paris for example, together with personalities like Burri or Fontana.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34103\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/6-300x244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/6-300x244.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/6-768x624.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/6.jpg 985w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Carla Accardi: Nerorosso, 1994<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In the fifties, in full informal atmosphere, Accardi creates compositions with defined and circumscribed signs, with clear colors, sometimes simply in black and white.<\/p>\n<p>In the following years she will be a riot of successes, she exhibits in New York, in London, in 1964 she will exhibit at the XXXVII Venice Biennale with a personal room. Her technique begins to change, in truth it had never been \u201ctraditional\u201d, since she had already renounced easel and palette to express herself by placing the canvases on a table or on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/7-sicofoil-colori-misti.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34105\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/7-sicofoil-colori-misti-151x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/7-sicofoil-colori-misti-151x300.jpg 151w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/7-sicofoil-colori-misti.jpg 402w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 151px) 100vw, 151px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Carla Accardi: Mixed Colors, varnish on sicofoil<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201c\u2026. my painting cannot stop on a problem, pose it and define it once and for all. <\/i><i>I like to revolve around this problem, see its different possible solutions, be coherent and, at the same time, able to change \u201d.<\/i> Carla Accardi<\/p>\n<p>With the economic boom and the advent of designers, Accardi experiments again, she discovers sycofoils, a magical polymer that gives brightness to her paintings. With sycofoil she creates three-dimensional objects, the famous &#8220;curtains&#8221;, ancestors of poor art.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34107\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/8-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/8-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/8-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/8.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Carla Accardi: D\u2019altri bui di viola, 1990<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>From the Eighties until her death, one cannot count the retrospectives, the personal ones, the anthologies dedicated to Accardi.
