Piazza della Signoria will host the <b>PIET\u00c0 <\/b>(2021), a monumental twentieth-century rampant lion installed on an ancient base, which crushes a Roman head from the second century AD between its jaws. The second sculpture, <b>THE MUSE OF ARCHEOLOGY CRIES<\/b> (20221), is instead located inside the Studiolo I de &#8216;Medici in Palazzo Vecchio. Specifically, it is the first time that this place, a precious treasure chest full of mysterious iconographic, esoteric and astrological suggestions, created between 1569 and 1573, houses a work of a Roman figure with a metaphysical head, a quote from Giorgio De Chirico&#8217;s The Archaeologists, perhaps the work that best represents the recovery of classicism in modern times.<\/p>\n<p><a Cellini teaches us with his <i>Ganymede<\/i>, the assembly between ancient and modern has very ancient roots, and this time the sculptures transport us even more into a surreal world, characterized by archeology and fantasy, memory and invention, where classical culture is not untouchable but becomes material to be molded, broken down and reassembled, becoming more current and perhaps full of new meanings.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Francesco Vezzoli in Florence, <\/i><\/b>sponsored by the Municipality of Florence and the organization Mus.e, curated by Cristina Perella and Sergio Risaliti, will be the premise of a solo exhibition that the Pecci center in Prato will dedicate to the artist in February 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Good life to
