The Uffizi allowed her to study and copy the greatest Renaissance masters, her talent and will did the rest of her.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5-Riposo-in-egitto_1923.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-38995\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5-Riposo-in-egitto_1923-300x293.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5-Riposo-in-egitto_1923-300x293.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5-Riposo-in-egitto_1923-768x750.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.beatricebrandini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/5-Riposo-in-egitto_1923.jpeg 819w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Elisabeth Chaplin: <i>Rest in Egypt,<\/i> 1929<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In 1910 she received, with her work the <b><i>&#8220;Family portrait&#8221;,<\/i><\/b> the gold medal of the Florentine Society of Fine Arts. In 1914 she participated in the Venice Biennale, in 1922 at the Paris Salon. Followed another Biennale, in 1920, and from here a series of important successes and approvals.<\/p>\n<p>In Paris, where the family moved after stays in Florence and Rome, she created two large murals in the church of Notre-Dame-du-Salut and in the Church of Saint-Esprit. I find that in Chaplin&#8217;s paintings there is an indisputable artistic value, but also an infinite sweetness and melancholy.
