Time Twins<\/i> by Beatrice Brandini<\/b><\/p>\n

The Tilt of Time <\/i><\/b>is a collective exhibition that explores the multifaceted nature of time through the works of Giulio Aldinucci, Fabrizio Ajello<\/b> and Francesco D’Isa, Chiara Bettazzi, Alessandro Gandolfi, Jacopo Jenna, Namsal Siedlecki.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A moment from the conference of the exhibition The Tilt of Time<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The Tilt of Time <\/b>was born in relation to the Anish Kapoor <\/b>exhibition. Untrue Unreal <\/b>at Palazzo Strozzi and establishes the collaboration between the Master in Curatorial Practice of IED Florence <\/b>and the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation.\u00a0<\/b>The Tilt of Time<\/i> project is coordinated by Daria Filardo from IED and Martino Margheri from Fondazione Strozzi.<\/p>\n

Tilt of Time investigates six different research trajectories and proposes reflections that range from the transformation of objects and their meanings over time and history, to the current role of artificial intelligence in the creation of images and its relationship with the visual arts, up to to touch on the geopolitical tensions of our present. Time in its different forms, cyclical, eternal, present, linear, distorted, biological\u2026<\/p>\n

Shift <\/i>Installation by Chiara Bettazzi<\/b><\/p>\n

Chiara Bettazzi <\/b>created Shift<\/i>, a site-specific installation in the IED spaces, in which evocative objects from her studio were combined with objects from the warehouses of the European Institute of Design. New forms, objects have broken, they have been used… they reinvent themselves and rematerialize.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The exhibition continues with the photographic stories of Alessandro Gandolfi, <\/b>featuring 4 areas of the world. The Baltic Question, Climate Change in Italy, Where Taiwan Touches China, Syrians in Limbo.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fabrizio Ajello and Francesco D’Isa with their Upside Down Wells<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Fabrizio Ajello <\/b>and Francesco D’Isa<\/b> painted the skylights of the long corridor of the IED with Upside Down Wells<\/i>. Collecting and translating their dreams, and those of the master’s students, into “promt” (commands) for artificial intelligence programs for the creation of images (TTI).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Soffio <\/i>by Namsal Siedlecki<\/b><\/p>\n

The exhibition concludes with Soffio<\/i>, the sculpture by Namsal Siedlecki.<\/b> The artist worked with the residual cavity of a bronze sculpture which, thanks to the intervention of a blower, gave rise to a new glass sculpture.<\/p>\n

Arturo Galansino (General Director of the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation) and Danilo Venturi (director of IED Florence) during the press conference<\/b><\/p>\n

The exhibition is also accompanied by two perforation events conceived for the spaces of the Strozzina of Palazzo Strozzi. The sliping concert<\/i> by Giulio Aldinucci <\/b>(11 November), composer and sound artist, who tackles the theme of time with a live performance for the entire duration of the night, accompanying visitors in the perception of nocturnal, dreamlike, meditative time.\u00a0And with that of Jacopo Jenna <\/b>(November 23), Here and Now<\/i>, a performance that analyzes the body and its movements over time. The performer’s actions are intertwined with a discontinuous musical composition, a choreography of music and lights that will interact with the audience.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is open from 27 October to 30 November in the spaces of the IED in Florence (via Bufalini, 6), with free admission<\/p>\n
