At the Palazzo Reale in Milan a wonderful exhibition retraces the journey, and the extraordinary success, of Domenico Dolce <\/b>and Stefano Gabbana.<\/b><\/p>\n

The exhibition \u201cFrom the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana\u201d,<\/i><\/b> curated by Florence M\u00fcller and produced by IMG, aims to highlight and enhance all the multiple and wonderful artistic expressions of the creative universe of Dolce&Gabbana.<\/p>\n

Inaugurated in Milan a few days ago, it will then reach various international stages, precisely because this important Made in Italy brand has been able, over the course of a few decades, not only to establish itself throughout the world, but has brought Italianness to the world, defending , proudly, all its most important artistic forms, such as fashion, cinema, music, theatre, drama, ballet, architecture, art, glass, embroidery, tailoring, family, life… What distinguishes our country and has always made it special.<\/p>\n

An extraordinary journey that goes from Byzantine mosaics, to Sicilian Baroque, from opera to the Greek Olympic deities, from Italian masterpieces such as the film Il Gattopardo to Murano glass. Even a tailor’s shop has been recreated inside the Palazzo Reale, with seamstresses and artisans at work inside, the visitor can witness, at least in part, the making of a dress, precisely “From the heart to the hands”.<\/p>\n

There are also works created by contemporary Visual Artists, such as Felice Limosani, Alberto Maria Colombo, Vittorio Bonapace, etc. To welcome visitors, the paintings inspired by the Grand Tour of the Haute Couture collections of Dolce&Gabbana designed by And Duong (GREAT!!). An all-round event that required huge investments from the brand.<\/p>\n

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana began by merging their brand in 1985, and have always remained faithful to their poetics, their style, but also to an idea of fashion characterized by authentic and “well-made” beauty. I have been at the head of Dolce&Gabbana for forty years, without having succumbed to the lure of rich offers from large luxury groups, which I imagine there have been, and which often buy and resell with embarrassing frivolity, without thinking about the brand, its history, but only to business. They should be rewarded for this too!<\/p>\n
