Collezione Maramotti <\/b>and Whitechapel Gallery p<\/b>resent the exhibition \u201cTime for Women! Empowering Visions in 20 Years of the Max Mara Arte Prize for Women\u201d <\/i><\/b>which celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the prestigious prize that supports and fosters emerging female artists.<\/p>\n

The exhibition brings together for the first time the works of all nine winners of the Max Mara Art Prize,<\/b> who are Margaret Salmon, Hannah Rickards, Andrea B\u00fcttner, Laure Prouvost, Corin Sworn, Emma Hart, Helen Cammock, Emma Talbot and Dominique White.\u00a0A biennial award addressed to artists who identify with the female gender and awarded with a six-month residency in Italy during which they dedicate themselves to research for the production of a new project, which will then be exhibited at the Whitechapel Gallery<\/b> in London and the Collezione Maramotti<\/b> in Reggio Emilia.<\/p>\n

A journey made of videos, installations, sculptures and works on paper, the themes range over themes such as motherhood, mythology, monasticism, with artisanal techniques that recall important traditions and that in some way want to leave a trace, become memory.<\/p>\n

The prize is awarded by a jury composed of leading women in the British art scene. During their stay in Italy, the winners have the opportunity to delve into specific themes of Italian culture and history.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, organized by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi<\/b> and Collezione Maramotti, <\/b>with main supporter Max Mara,<\/b> will be held in the Strozzina spaces at Palazzo Strozzi (Florence) and will remain open until August 31, 2025, every day from 10 am to 8 pm and on Thursdays until 11 pm. An important opportunity to go to Palazzo Strozzi, which already hosts the extraordinary exhibition by Tracey Emin.<\/p>\n
