\u201cThe Museo Novecento hosts this exhibition dedicated to Lorenzo Bonechi, an artist of extraordinary depth, seventy years after his birth,\u201d <\/i>said the councilor for culture Giovanni Bettarini<\/b>. <\/i>\u201cThe city of women<\/i><\/b> offers us the opportunity to explore his artistic universe, where ethereal and sacred figures intertwine with landscapes and minimal architecture, creating a dialogue between spirituality and humanity. The exhibition path seems to take the visitor by the hand, leading him on a journey into the feminine universe, that of women in solidarity with each other, who only apparently seem detached, in reality are noble and welcoming figures in their essential beauty.<\/p>\n

\u201cBonechi was a painter and sculptor of extraordinary spiritual and poetic density, a secluded figure, highly cultured and sensitive, visionary in the true sense of art, interpreter of iconographies that express the human tension towards the absolute, the inalienable desire for transcendence, the reverberation on earth of the harmonies of the cosmos\u201d<\/i>. Arturo Martini: The Wait or Susanna, 1935, donation from Alberto Della Ragione to the Museo Novecento. This wonderful statue, located at the entrance to Bonechi\u2019s exhibition, seems ecstatic, the prelude to the show you are about to witness.<\/b><\/p>\n

It is a very beautiful exhibition, Bonechi\u2019s paintings truly transport you to a dreamlike, idealized and harmonious world. In times when media exposure, where appearances count more than being and seem to be the only way, Bonechi’s works, and in particular these ethereal women, look at you with humanity, whispering the beauty of the universe.<\/p>\n
