The Smurfs, mascot of this edition

The 98th edition of Pitti Immagine Bimbo has just ended with the presentations of the collections dedicated to the next autumn/winter 2024-2025 season.

The fair offers a variety of offerings ranging from classic to sportswear, from more niche and research brands to street style ones, from luxury to accessories, which is why it is a point of reference in the kidswear world for those who deal with this product sector .

I have prepared some mood boards on what I believe could be the trends for next Autumn – Winter 2025.

Classroom is an easy-comfort trend that however overturns the rules especially in the color palette, emphasizing shades that are a little unusual in the world of kids such as dusty browns, mauves, all almost vintage shades. The garments are comfortable and simple; hey wink at vintage in carded wool fabrics such as herringbone coats, but also at 80s styles with Color-Block inlays and oversized sizes.

British Passion. Long live England with her icons; theme characterized by tartans, boiled wools, unmistakable styles such as kilts and bon ton garments. A timeless elegance that is always very current. Warm colors, where the protagonists are the tones of red in its countless shades.

The Eccentric, the password is creativity and a pinch of madness. In this theme, prints, drawings, inlays or jacquards are important, creating slightly cubist signature palettes. Knitwear, cotton, a lot of attention to eco-sustainability. Here it is not the cut that is important but the glance. Mandarin orange, lime, powder pink but also fuchsia, powder blue and electric blue palette. Contrasting tones but if combined they can create a very interesting mix.

As usual, I have collected some images of the things that particularly struck me and which I am now sharing with you.

ETRO second season in the kidswear world with an exceptional partner, Simonetta, a leading company specializing in luxury kids’ clothing. There are all the characteristics of the brand, the Paisley designs, the color palette, the slightly folk mood, the “upholstery” fabrics and of course the Etro quality. Irresistible!!!

SIMONETTA a story that dates back to the 1950s, always standing out for its search for quality, tailoring and style. Collections for little modern princesses, with a touch of femininit. They produce baby and kids lines for Stella McCartney, Balmain, Etro, Fay, Emilio Pucci… Of what I see, every time, I wish I could wear it too.

PUMA a special collection for children, there are shoes that have made the history of the brand (I know this well), like the Suede, interpreted with pastel colors and very cool.

EMILIO PUCCI are collections that follow the style of the brand for adults, a sort of Mini – Me, with its iconic patterns and the color palette that is kaleidoscopic and always beautiful.

MISSONI knitwear and the brand’s patterns are also protagonists in the junior collection. Missoni patterns can be recognized a thousand miles away and every time you wonder how they can be so special and beautiful.

TELESYK AIRLINES Ukrainian brand that creates collections with a special touch of creativity, understanding very well that children need comfortable and simple things, like a hoodie, that make them special. Telesyk is the hero of Ukrainian fairy tales.

FLOWERS MOUNTAIN by NATURINO vegan line born from the collaboration with Japanese designers, you can see the oriental influence that gives added value to a brand that needs no introduction for its quality and history.

SUN68 was born in 2005 as an independent fashion experiment. Since then it has come a long way, becoming a leader in the sportswear-casual world that makes quality and whispered creativity its strong points.

AO76 Belgian brand, born as a family business in 1976, has been able to evolve without betraying its traditions and its creative DNA; prints and fabrics are at the center of the collections, as are quality and authenticity. A casual with that chic taste from beyond the Alps.

The first part ends here, in the next days I will publish the second, full of other wonderful ideas from the equally wonderful world of children.

Good life to everyone!

Beatrice
