It ended also this edition of Pitti Filati, the last, chronologically, between the three magnificent fairs organized by Pitti Immagine. Some people will think that I use words like these because I’m biased, because I’m from Florence or be in some “cute” way with the organizers to me is easier. All wrong and who knows me knows. This site was born out of passion, my immense passion for fashion and for everything that is beautiful, serious, creative, professional, interesting … it connects to it. Ad nothing, nothing “hustler”, no selfies or anything else. I speak well of Pitti because every time get in these fairs, see how transformed the city, such as (important) events are organized, can only make me express in terms more than enthusiastic. Italy has some flaws, but we are especially us Italians, at times, the biggest problem of our country, always critical, never united, cohesive rarely, some professors in each field … instead of recognizing and enhancing the merit that should be natural, as well as a habit.
Enter at Pitti Filati, see the proposals of the Spazio Ricerca, those magnificent students of the contest “Feel the yarn”, the exhibitors … can only get excited. Pitti Filati is really the icing on the cake … is the fair that sets the trends, colors, not only on knitwear, but on a global concept of Lifestyle.
The most interesting thing was the area of Space Research (concept Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller) incredibly evocative. The first three photos are of that magically creative place without the public and visitors, it seems the time has stopped, it seems the scene of a set of that genius named Kubrick …
This season Pitti Filati has imagined the twenty-four hours of the life of man, in which the needs and feelings regulate our body and our days. A journey through fantastic materials that are no longer tied to knitwear in the classical way, but yarns that can turn and mingle, natural and synthetic fibers create yarns (seem tissues) that fit both formal clothing than to the technical sports.

To reinforce what I’ve seen I developed Mood board, with sketches and suggestive images, using mannequins and even the jacquard and yarns present in the Spazio Ricerca at Pitti Immagine Filati. In the second part of the post, there will be others.

Also interesting is the STUDIO/zero project, Consulting office for textile companies. Behind there are two important figures who are Angelo Figus, creative multi-faceted and experiences (textile, machinery!), And Maurizio Brocchetto, who has worked for over twenty years on the raw material, the fabric, with experience with larger Italian and international textile companies. Encountered during the Denim Italiano project in which they were respectively creative director and operative, they have felt the need to join especially with the purpose of use and appreciate the fabrics and fibers, experiencing their application to unusual surfaces, for different uses.
