I’ve been twice in the space of a few months, and since I love their culture, their traditions, their education, and their incredible civic sense, I can only dedicate this small and humble post to this city.
Teppanyaki Honoo Ginza Restaurant
Above all, I want to mention one restaurant, Honoo Ginza Teppanyaki https://teppan-hono-ginza.com/, where I ate the best meat (and fish) I’ve ever tasted in my life. And to think I know a thing or two about food, thanks to my infamous appetite, but also to my ability to discover different foods from a young age, thanks to my father’s curiosity.

I also had dinner at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, where they filmed Lost in Translation, my cult movie, and although the food is very “internationally friendly” (but you certainly don’t go there to eat), the atmosphere is wonderfully magical. What a gift to have booked right there.

Tokyo is quiet, despite its 14 million inhabitants, but also unprejudiced in certain ways.
I think everyone should visit it at least once in their life.
The Japanese love us, they love Italy, our culture, art, fashion, food, climate… but they don’t know how much respect we have for their traditions and their composure, so far removed from our disorderly behavior, or gestures, depending on how we define this peculiarity of ours.
