My journey through Pitti Filati knitwear continues, with a particular focus once again on the Spazio Ricerca.

We’ve said that the central theme of the Pitti Filati trends for Fall/Winter 2027-2028 is DISCIPLINE, a global concept that today signifies the NECESSARY search for social stability and a tool for economic control.
The three themes are DRESSAGE – REINING – OBSTACLES.
The first, Dressage, is the theme of total discipline, in which horse and rider are one and the same, and in which the horse is trained with almost meticulous care, not only focusing on its physical integrity and performance, but also on its aesthetics. Manes and tails are the protagonists.

The second theme is Reining, or Western riding. This too is about discipline, as the acrobatics the rider and his horse perform are not only spectacular but also very dangerous, requiring a perfect balance between docility and trust.

The last theme is Show Jumping. It’s about total discipline, as you literally have to overcome the obstacle, requiring technique, courage, and also strength.
I’m taking advantage of the theme of Discipline, the driving force behind Pitti Filati Trends, to reflect. Here too, as with all the important things in life, only commitment can make the difference: study, work, and the constant pursuit of self-improvement. But also the relationship of trust between man and animal, and if we want to extend it to all human beings.
A professor once told his class that creativity can only develop in a harmonious and disciplined environment… why do we always forget this?
Enjoy your life, everyone!
