To celebrate the centenary of UNOAERRE, a leading jewelry company, you can admire a beautiful immersive exhibition on the cosmic origins of gold.

Two images of the immersive installation: Polvere di Stelle (Stardust), created by Felice Limosani to celebrate the 100th anniversary of UNAERRE INDUSTRIES S.p.A.

The work, housed in the museum spaces of the Palazzo della Fraternita dei Laici in Arezzo (the company’s headquarters), will be on display until June 8th. It illustrates how gold is the element that connects us to the universe, a way to look at our history, much as UNOAERRE has always done since its founding. It offers an important message that tells us that behind the daily work of high precision and craftsmanship of goldsmithing, there is something more, a dimension of time and knowledge, wonderfully evocative and important.

For billions of years, the element gold did not exist in the universe. Its formation is linked to the merger of two neutron stars, an astrophysical event of extraordinary energy (the so-called Kilonova) first observed on August 17, 2017, thanks to the LIGO and Virgo detectors, an international network of observatories. Earlier, Leonardo da Vinci had already intuited it: “Gold is the child of the sun.” Margarita Hack made it even more explicit with: “We are children of the stars.”

We can therefore confidently state that gold was not born in the history of humanity. It was born like humanity. From this reflection, Felice Limosani, a multidisciplinary artist and innovator in Digital Humanities, created “Stardust”, a journey that takes gold and humanity back to their origins.

You must visit this exhibition because it will immerse you in something profound, where words, images, and music will transport you to a dreamlike dimension of utter wonder.

The commemorative stamp for the 100th anniversary of the UNOAERRE INDUSTRIES company

Together with this important event, the Italian government has decided to dedicate a stamp from the series “The Excellences of the Production System and Made in Italy” (a wonderful idea), dedicated to historic Italian companies, which celebrates the centenary of the Arezzo-based company. The delightful stamp depicts a cross between wedding rings, a market in which UNOAERRE is a world leader.

UNOAERRE distributes in 40 countries worldwide, with 300 direct employees and two foreign branches, one in Japan and one in France. A wonderful Italian company that has reinvented itself over time, and Felice Limosani’s exhibition is tangible proof of this, without forgetting its DNA. Congratulations on another hundred years of incredible success.

Enjoy your life!
